KCON LA 2023 Day 3 Recap: ITZY, The Boyz, Idle, Everglow, Stray Kids & Concert Madness

KCON LA 2023 Day 3 Recap: ITZY, The Boyz, Idle, Everglow, Stray Kids & Concert Madness

After braving the heat on the first day to see spectacular performances and enjoy all the con had to offer. We were determined to conquer the con, get all the freebies we could hold, keep it chill, and sing the entire concert that night. With sparkle in our eye and optimism in our heart…

We were back for more

Two days later, we returned for Day 3, and LA was on hurricane alert, which eventually became a tropical storm. Jenn’s meet & greet was early, so we braved light rain while waiting in line. She came back glowing and full of stories. We wandered the convention floor, grabbed free McDonald’s ice cream and fries from a promo booth (sadly our only meal that day), and then headed toward the KCON stage. Security had to make a path for Kep1er to walk through, and we got to see them up close. XG performed, and RIIZE had their seven-member pre-debut stage — witnessing that live was surreal.

Next up the concert.

Leaving the convention center, the rain poured down. Staff handed out trash bags for makeshift ponchos, and we stood outside, soaked and freezing, but nothing could dampen the energy. To make the best out of a bad situation we made up games to play in line so we wouldn’t shiver to death. Once inside Crypto.com Arena, the concert started with girl groups playing instruments, setting the tone for the night. The Boyz performed their special “Passion Fruit” unit stage, EVERGLOW and (G)I-DLE slayed, and ITZY gave one of Lia’s last performances before her hiatus — extra special since she’s my bias.

The Boyz returned, Eric performing in his hometown with maximum energy, and Stray Kids closed the show perfectly. KCON LA 2023 was chaos, adrenaline, screaming, rainstorms, and pure K-pop magic all rolled into one unforgettable weekend. From meet & greets to concerts to exploring the convention floor, every moment was an experience I will never forget. I miss it constantly and would relive every single second — rain, heat, and all — in a heartbeat.

Top Favorite Moments

  • Seeing Passion Fruit in person. I wasn’t expecting them to do this song for their special performance. Plus its a great summer time BANGER!
  • Catching a glimpse of ZEROBASEONE peeking out of the window in their suite befre they went on the Con floor.
  • RIZE OT7 Pre-debut when their biggest hit was Sirennnnnn
  • Seeing Itzy before Lia went on Haitus
  • Dancing in the rain
