Do you get that thrill when you step onto a jetway, ready to strut down the aisle like it’s your personal runway? Or when you press your face to the window and watch the clouds float by, or the city lights twinkle below like tiny stars? If that gives you butterflies, then we’re already on the same wavelength.
For me, travel has always been more than just going somewhere new—it’s been a gateway to adventure, healing, and pure joy. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved escaping the everyday routine and exploring new cities. Traveling has opened doors I never even knew existed and has been a huge part of my journey toward peace and self-discovery.

Growing up, my mom, sister, and I were travel tag-alongs to my grandmother’s many trips. She was constantly off to conferences, and we’d dive straight into the city to explore. From Chicago to Las Vegas, Orlando to Atlanta, New York to New Orleans—those trips lit a spark in me that has never faded. And through it all, some things never change: I still always go for the window seat.
Now that I’m an adult with my own bank account (hello, financial freedom ✨), I indulge in travel for myself—and trust me, it’s one of my ultimate joys, especially as a certified homebody. My first solo-planned trip was during my senior year spring break, when I booked a Cancun getaway in about two hours for just $1,000 per person—all-inclusive flight and hotel. That trip taught me that travel planning doesn’t have to be stressful, and that thrill of getting it all set? Unmatched.
Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to explore amazing places all over the world. Every time I return home, I immediately start plotting the next adventure. Travel has a way of becoming addictive, but in the best way possible—discovering new places, stumbling through hidden streets, and immersing yourself in different cultures is pure magic.

And here’s the best part: travel is totally personal. You can tailor your trips around what makes you happiest. Love concerts? That’s a reason to book a flight. Craving sunshine when it’s freezing back home? Hello, beach getaway. The possibilities are endless.
Travel isn’t just moving from point A to point B—it’s an experience that awakens your soul, fills your heart, and leaves you craving more. So grab that window seat, pack that bag, and step into your next adventure. Your future self will thank you. Check out some of my travels at https://youtube.com/@jah_dropping?si=ovrZa6J65CXabwI2. What’s your next destination?
